First Lady Connie Sanders
Connie Sanders is a native of Louisiana and her academics includes a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business (Accounting). While at Southern University she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has been employed with Harris County Auditor’s Office for over 20 years and currently holds the position as a Senior Compliance Auditor and is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
First Lady Sanders is an anointed and wise woman of God. She has a caring and humble spirit. She is spiritually gifted in the teaching and speaking ministries. As a published author of her first book, “On the First Day of the Week”, she highlights her own personal life events with the teachings and events depicted in the Bible.
First Lady Sanders serves at New Direction Missionary Baptist Church as the Church Administrator; Founder and Director of the Women Ministry; a teacher for the Women Sunday School class; Advisory for Educational Fund Ministry; Coordinator of the Marriage Ministry; co-teacher and conference speaker of the Grief and Trauma Ministry and a member of both the Mass and Women Choir. She also serves as the President of the Minister’s and Deaconess Wives with the Southwest Central District Association.
First Lady Sanders goal is to encourage and inspire other women to live a fulfilling life and to have a confident heart. She hopes to achieve this by helping women to realize that sometimes they just need, “A New Start on an Old Journey.”
First Lady Sanders and Pastor Kevin Sanders, has been married over 33+ years. Her and Pastor Sanders share four children, Charmaine, Kevin (daughter-in-law Kelsia), Brandon (daughter-in-law Kelsey) and Kameron. They are the proud grandparents of two grandchildren, a grandson CaBrion and a granddaughter Berkeley.
First Lady Sanders serves not to be glorified, but that God might get the glory in everything she does. Even though she has a busy schedule, she is never too busy for the Lord. She wants everyone to know, “Serving the Lord will pay off after while”.
