First Lady Connie Sanders

Connie Sanders is a native of Louisiana and a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business (Accounting).  While at Southern University she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has been employed with Harris County Auditor’s Office for over 18 years and currently holds the position as a Senior Compliance Auditor and is also a  Certified Fraud Examiner. She has been married to Rev. Kevin Sanders, Pastor of New Directions Missionary Baptist Church for over thirty years. She is an anointed and wise woman of God.  She has a caring and humble spirit.  She is spiritually gifted in the teaching and speaking ministries.  At her church she serves as the Church Administrator; Founder and Director of the Women Ministry; a teacher for the Women Sunday School class; Advisory for Educational Fund Ministry and a member of the Mass and Women Choir.  She is also the President of the Minister’s and Deaconess Wives with the Southwest Central District Association. Her goal is to encourage and inspire other women to live a fulfilling life and to have a confident heart.  She hopes to achieve this by helping women to realize that sometimes they just need, “A New Start on an Old Journey.” Her and Pastor Sanders is the mother of four children, Charmaine, Kevin, Brandon and Kameron and the grandparents of one grandson, CaBrion. Connie serves not to be glorified, but that God might get the glory in everything she does.  Even though she has a busy schedule, she is never too busy for the Lord. She wants everyone to know, “Serving the Lord will pay off after while.”
